PITLOCHRY & LOCH TAY
On a Saturday, after
leaving Perth, the
medieval capital of
Scotland, we head
directly to Dunkeld and
an opportunity to explore
the ancient
ecclesiastical capital of
Scotland.
On a Sunday, we leave Callander and head towards Perth, via
Gleneagles and its famous hotel and golf courses. We then have
a stop at a lovely local coffee shop before heading on to Dunkeld.
On both days,
there will be the
opportunity for a short
walk to
some
spectacular waterfalls near Dunkeld.
Further north, we see what the Queen saw (!) at Loch Tummel
and
then take you into
Pitlochry, with a stop for lunch and
a
wander
around this bustling
Victorian
resort town.
In the afternoon, we take you to see the oldest living organism in
Europe and one of the most delightful glens in Scotland.
Passing Loch Tay, we arrive at Killin and the picturesque Falls of
Dochart - a photo stop and chance for some refreshments.
Finally, we return you to your drop-off point, after a wonderful day
of
waterfalls, wildlife, lochs and Highland scenery.
